Chunket Industries commissioned me to make a booklet to accompany the 2021 discography of this 1990s band. I interviewed 15 people, including the members of the band, their friends, collaborators, and fans. I collected archival images, assembled the interviews into one narrative text, and designed the booklet.

NBA Tattoos was a website I ran from 2010 – 2018ish. My sister and I were watching a Knicks game and wondering what percentage of the league had tattoos. Somehow no one had ever done this work? My band broke up in 2010 and I got league pass, started watching games every day. I made a spreadsheet and marked down every time I noticed a tattoo. At the end of the season I posted the results: 55%. For the next eight seasons I posted a new total for each year, broken down by team.

Corpsekisser is the duo of Heather Anderson and Ethan Swan, formed in 2004 in Portland during a very tumultuous/difficult summer. We play like once a year, released a one-sided LP in 2010, and toured the UK in 2012. Scratchy, haunted, opaque, seems to only be liked by people who don’t like music anymore. “We take this band very serious.”

Get Weird was a monthly new music series at the New Museum. I programmed this series from 2008 – 2013. Some highlights include Tarek Atoui’s US debut, Lil B, The Younger Lovers, Grouper, Graham Lambkin & C. Spencer Yeh, Maher Shalal Hash Baz’s New York debut, and a talk by Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Garcia.

I have written promotional text including band bios, one sheets, and press releases for Post Present Medium, JUBG, Gingko Records, Four Four Records, Whats Your Rupture, Jackpot Records, and others.
